This paper argues that the core of Elder Benle’s view of compassion lies in “the unity of wisdom and compassion” and “the inseparability of cultivation and daily life. ” The theoretical foundation of this perspective is the Buddhist principle of “great compassion without condition and great empathy rooted in shared existence, ” while its fundamental method is the Mind-Ground Dharma. Ultimately, it points toward the active practice of Humanistic Buddhism. Studying his thought provides valuable insights for addressing the spiritual challenges faced by modern individuals and contributes to the construction of a harmonious society.
