摘要

本书深入探讨了在大数据时代背景下, 统计学作为数据分析与解读的重要学科, 为科学研究、商业及日常生活等各个领域提供了有效的决策支持。全书共分为八章, 第一章对大数据时代的统计学进行了概述, 阐述了统计学的基本原理、应用领域及数据获取的方法。第二和第三章比较了统计学与大数据处理方法在思想方法和数据表述上的差异; 第四章聚焦于统计学中的重要理论—正态分布; 第五章讨论了在大数据环境下, 统计推断的有效性问题; 第六章则从统计学的视角深入分析了大数据时代中变量之间的“相关性”; 第七章以开放的视角探讨了统计学中一些较为热门的话题; 第八章讨论了大数据对企业、用户及整个社会所带来的潜在价值。本书旨在引导读者领悟数字之美与哲学智慧, 还能提高读者的思辨和洞察能力。

Abstract

This book delves deeply into the role of statistics as a crucial discipline for data analysis and interpretation in the era of big data, offering effective decision-making support across fields such as scientific research, business, and daily life. Divided into eight chapters, the book Chapter One begins with an overview of statistics in the context of the big data era, explaining its fundamental principles, areas of application, and methods of data collection. Chapter Two and Three compare the differences between statistical methods and big data processing techniques in terms of conceptual approaches and data representation. Chapter Four focuses on a pivotal statistical theory—the normal distribution. Chapter Five discusses the validity of statistical inference in the context of big data. Chapter Six provides an in-depth analysis of “correlations” among variables in the big data era from a statistical perspective. Chapter Seven adopts an open perspective to explore trending topics in statistics, while Chapter Eight examines the potential value that big data brings to enterprises, users, and society as a whole. This book aims to guide readers in appreciating the beauty of numbers and the wisdom of philosophy, while enhancing their critical thinking and analytical insight.
