Taking the 284 m super high-rise twin-tower project in Zhengzhou as a case study, a systematic investigation of the full-cycle engineering construction is conducted from the owner’s perspective, across both technical and managerial aspects. From the technical aspect, the application characteristics of the hybrid structural system composed of the frame, core tube, and belt truss are summarized. Key technical difficulties are also summarized, including ultra-deep foundation pit excavation and super-long pile foundation construction, high-strength and mass concrete construction, complex vertical transportation organization, coordination of multi-trade cross operations, as well as the integrated implementation of mechanical and electrical works with interior finishing. Corresponding response strategies are further presented. From the managerial aspect, management experience is reviewed across four dimensions, namely forward-looking thinking, overall perspective, professional competence, and efficient execution. The experience gained in full-cycle project planning, critical path control, resource integration, and organizational coordination is systematically summarized. It is demonstrated that the successful implementation of complex super high-rise projects depends on the deep integration and coordinated optimization of both technical and management systems. The research findings are expected to provide practical insights for the construction organization, full-cycle management, and early-stage planning of similar large-scale and complex super high-rise projects.
