Current Status,Hot Topics, and Trends in Research on Artificial Intelligence Literacy Among University Students in the Digital-Intelligent Era: A Bibliometric Analysis Based on CiteSpace
To examine the current status, hot topics, and trends in research on artificial intelligence literacy education for university students in the digital-intelligent era, this study useed relevant literature indexed in CNKI from 2016 to 2025 as its data source, screened 212 valid articles, and conducted a visualization analysis using CiteSpace. The results indicate that the publication volume in this field has shown explosive growth since 2024, the core group of authors is not yet well established, and collaboration between research institutions remains fragmented. Research hotspots primarily revolve around university education and information literacy. The evolutionary trajectory, following the evolution of AI technology, can be broadly divided into three stages: university students’ digital information literacy, artificial intelligence literacy, and digital-intelligent literacy. The study indicates that the cultivation of university students’ competencies has gradually shifted from a narrow focus on “information skills” training to a comprehensive set of competencies integrating technological cognition, applied skills, critical thinking, ethical awareness, and human-machine collaboration. Future research should focus on embracing technological empowerment while adhering to a people-centered value orientation, thereby cultivating talent capable of mastering technology.
