The Contemporary Value and Practical Path of Integrating the Flood-Fighting Spirit into the Integrated Teaching of Ideological and Political Courses in Primary, Secondary, and Tertiary Schools
The flood-fighting spirit is a precious spiritual asset of the Party and the country, as well as a rare teaching resource. Integrating it into the integrated teaching of ideological and political courses in primary, secondary, and tertiary schools helps students strengthen cultural confidence, enhance teaching effectiveness, and achieve the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education. However, problems exist in aspects such as fragmented integration versus holistic interpretation, perfunctory incorporation versus the differential needs of various educational stages, and scientific teaching methods versus teaching students how to learn. These problems hinder the realization of the value and effectiveness of integrated teaching. To address these issues, it is imperative to further advance research on the flood-fighting spirit, enrich the overall foundation for integrated teaching, add new assessment indicators for ideological and political course teachers to boost their motivation to respond to student concerns, and adopt scientific teaching methods to provide students with the key to learning.
