Against the backdrop of current education reform, primary school classroom teaching is undergoing unprecedented changes. However, have these changes truly met the expectations of teacher trainees? The study attempts to explore this issue in depth from the perspective of the graduation internship experience of normal university students. By interviewing ten normal university students (grade 4) , we aim to understand their educational internship experiences, with a focus on the gap between expectations and actual teaching in primary school classrooms, and analyze the underlying reasons for this gap. Research has found that normal school students generally expect diversified and innovative teaching methods, hoping that education can respect and meet the personalized needs of each student, and they expect the classroom to have more interactive features or greater interactivity. However, in actual teaching, traditional teaching methods still dominate primary school classrooms, and personalized education is difficult to effectively implement. Most classrooms have problems such as low student participation and limited teacher-student interaction. This difference is due to various reasons such as traditional teaching concepts, teachers professional qualities, and school resource limitations. Therefore, schools, teachers, and students should work together to improve teaching methods, promote personalized education, and strive to enhance classroom interactivity.
