Ideological and political education in universities plays an important role in improving the comprehensive quality of students, enhancing their psychological level, and promoting their employment and entrepreneurship. Especially In the post-epidemic era of New Coronavirus “B”, the scale of college graduates has reached a new high and the employment situation has become more severe, strengthening ideological and political education has become an important way to promote employment. Firstly, the qualitative and quantitative analysis methods such as literature analysis method and inductive summarization method are used to analyze the various problems in the employment process of college graduates, and the results of the analysis concluded that: In addition to the influence of external factors such as economic environment, policy guidance and market demand, the employment process of college graduates is also limited by individual graduates' ideological awareness, self-cognition, ability level and comprehensive quality to a certain extent. Secondly, based on the perspective of college students' employment, we deeply analyze the common problems existing in the current graduates' thinking and discuss in detail the practical significance of college students' ideological and political education on employment; Finally, we propose multiple important initiatives, mainly “internal grasp” and “external supplement”, taking ideological and political construction as an important way to improve the comprehensive level of graduates, and then provide intentional reference for the full employment of graduates and the construction of a new mode of “employment+thought politics” in local universities.
